1. Agreement and service purpose
These terms apply when a person uses SolidFish to create, deliver, open, preview, view, download, manage, report, or otherwise interact with a share.
SolidFish is designed for private, safer and more deliberate handoffs of fleeting information. The service can reduce unnecessary identity exchange, provide access controls and link previews, and give shares an intentional lifetime. It does not guarantee anonymity, perfect security, permanent storage, archival preservation, uninterrupted availability, or suitability for regulated record retention.
2. Eligibility and authority
A sender must have the legal right and organisational authority to share the selected content and recipient contact details. A recipient must use the package only for the purpose for which access was provided.
3. Solid Codes and credentials
- A Solid Code identifies a package but is not, by itself, proof of identity.
- A recipient password protects opening when the sender enables it.
- A management key authorises sensitive sender actions such as extension or deletion.
- People must keep credentials private and must not publish, reuse, or transmit them through insecure channels.
- SolidFish may temporarily restrict attempts when credentials cannot be verified.
4. Acceptable use
SolidFish must not be used to distribute or facilitate unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, infringing, or unauthorised content or activity.
- Do not upload malware, exploit code, credential theft material, or content intended to compromise another system.
- Do not use the service for harassment, threats, impersonation, fraud, spam, or evasion of lawful restrictions.
- Do not share content that infringes privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, contractual, or employment obligations.
- Do not probe, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass rate limits, access controls, expiry, or one-time restrictions.
5. Fleeting availability and expiry
The sender selects an available expiry option so the intended lifetime is clear before activation. A share may become unavailable earlier because of one-time completion, sender deletion, abuse handling, security controls, service maintenance, legal requirements, or technical failure.
SolidFish is intended for information whose usefulness is limited to a particular handoff or period. Users are responsible for keeping any copy they are permitted and required to retain; SolidFish should not be the only copy of important content.
6. Content processing and previews
SolidFish may inspect file type, generate previews, scan for security risks, analyse supported link destinations, reject unsupported content, or delay availability while processing completes.
File and link previews are intended to give recipients useful information before they open or visit shared content. They are an additional inspection step, not a guarantee that content or a destination is safe, unchanged, authentic, or free from deception. A website may change after a preview is generated.
A preview may not preserve every feature of the original. The interface identifies originals and previews separately where applicable.
7. Reports, enforcement, and removal
SolidFish may investigate reported content, restrict access, remove packages, preserve relevant records, suspend technical sources, or cooperate with lawful requests when reasonably necessary to protect people, rights, and the service.
Enforcement decisions may consider the content, context, risk, repeat behaviour, legal requirements, and available technical evidence.
8. Availability and changes
Features, limits, supported formats, expiry options, and delivery providers may change. Planned changes will be communicated where practical, but urgent security or reliability changes may take effect immediately.
9. Service limitations
SolidFish is designed for fleeting, purpose-bound sharing and does not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent preservation, complete anonymity, perfect security, or that every supported preview will reproduce every feature of the original content. A preview can support safer decisions but is not a guarantee that a destination or file is safe. Use a separate retained copy for information you need to preserve.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
